sometimes i randomly remember how insane maggie stiefvater was for making ronan lynch—a man that can create reality—a man of god, when he himself is a god of a man. then to take this man and have him be not only in love with, but a literal soulmate of a man named adam. parrish. adam parrish. who, mind you, lives above ronan's very own place of worship. and is the namesake of the first of mankind that the bible says god made from the literal dust of the ground (adam parrish: comes from nothing, hair "dusty" in color) and appoints him to care for the garden of eden (adam parrish: sacrifices himself to ronan's sentient forest). then has adam viewing ronan as a god and ronan saying "maybe he dreamt (created)" adam???? like who just fucking writes that and goes about their life?

reading through this interview with tadej’s parents and hmmmm being conflict averse soo fun i think something could be said about this

#i feel like tadej just by nature of his being is suuuch a polarizing person. like he’s impossible to ignore whether he likes it or not #which means that no one in his world will ever be neutral towards him. of course that’s usually just casual respect #but like the culture of near reverence from some riders + his team vs Haters ™️ like matteo… he can never just be another person #he’s Tadej Pogačar #which means he’s going to be thrown into these situations where he’s forced to be a center of conflict #whether that be as an antagonist or just center of discussion #like put the rpf goggles on and the constant jokes and chattiness could be read as some inteeense people pleasing #in attempt to make people acknowledge him as their peers. but he’s not. he can’t be. and he wants to be a teammate and a normal friend #but he’s also insanely ambitious and wants Everything (msr tadej yay) so this innate desire is also conflicting with his need for peace #and if we’re getting more ficcy him mirroring the desire of people who he’s with. like tadej wants what you want. he wants to please you #what makes him feel good is what makes you feel good because he wants to be the best at it #so he automatically structures the focus of emotional and physical intimacy on the other person but that sort of subverts #into it always being About Him #idfk man. the narrative wants him #tadej pogacar

So I read Don't Let the Forest In by CG Drews and it fucked me up a little [in a good way]. I heard this book had body horror [<- my favorite thing ever], fucked up gay people, monsters etc which made me think this would be my cup of tea and it definitely is that it feels like this book was made for me. I will not be able to stop thinking about it for a while. God I am so normal

The song “Therapy” by All Time Low is insanely in line with Leo’s character in every way.

The following verses alone are so quintessentially Leo that it’s like he was made with it in mind:

Im so mentally ill right now pls hand me my vitamin d pills i need to be fixed, i haven't felt sunlight upon my skin for a week and it's raining over the snow so it's all sloppy and slippery and dark out so i can't go anywhere without getting my feet soaked and my inlaws are asking me what i want for christmas like specifically which means i have to share my interests but i don't want to be perceived right now because I'm feeling the winter paranoia/madness and also i had to take the trashcan out yesterday and faceplanted in the snow and my glasses are all scratched up so i think im going to need new ones and if i want to go ANYWHERE i need to defrost my fucking car on the daily and i hate it. I hate winter i HATE IT. And i have an exam on friday as well as work and a christmas party to attend. I need to move to the forest and become one with nature, just leave society behind and live like Isak in Growth of the soil even though i fucking hate Knut Hansun, that nazi bitch.

#the only thing i have the energy for is apparently scouring ao3 for fics to read through my very specific search methods #and im reading stuff im NOT proud of at all (very cringe) so no im not giving any fic recs #i need the sun please god i miss the sun sooo much give it back aaaaaa #me in the summer: i miss it being dark at night i miss sleeping #me in the winter: i have deficiencies summer me could never understand #why did my ancestors (my danish grandmother and grandfather from bergen) decide to settle in the mental torture part of norway #i need to LEAVE im going INSANE i don't want to live like this #every season is its own kind of hell‚ the only semi good one is autumn and it's usually too short anyway‚ but if it's too long #it's as bad as winter because it gets dark without the snow to bring some kind of light to the day so you're just depressed #and then it gets icy but there's no snow so your car gets zero (NIL) grip on the road and then ur life flashes before ur eyes #abd spring gives you allergies and a low sun so you can't wven drive comfortably #and summer is too hot and it's bright all the time and like. it's FINE. im used to it. i just put up some decent curtains.#but it's disorienting and my internal clock is always completely and utterly fucked.#and i know im raving like a madman right now but i slept for like 13 hours and i have the mental clarity to know im going a little crazy #and i just need to get it out of my system
